We’re in the London Marathon
Taking place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April 2027, this one-off format change for 2027 only will see the TCS London Marathon transformed into a spectacular two-day celebration.
The expanded event will further elevate the global impact of the TCS London Marathon, the most popular marathon on the planet which, in 2025, was recognised as the number one marathon brand in the world.
The unique Double format will welcome 100,000 participants across the two days, all taking on the same iconic route, from Greenwich to Westminster, in what will be an unprecedented weekend of sport, charity and community celebration.
Why Run for Meredith’s Mission?
A childhood cancer diagnosis changes life for the whole family. Meredith’s Mission provides practical help, emotional support and community-based wellbeing services from diagnosis, throughout treatment and into the difficult transition that follows.
By raising £2,500, you could help provide dozens of creative therapy sessions, family support mornings, meals, practical assistance and meaningful end-of-treatment gifts for children and their families.
You will not simply be filling a place. You will become part of a small, supportive team raising awareness and helping families through some of their hardest days.

Fundraising FAQs
We understand the challenges of attending prebooked in advanced events, we help families to have experiences in their own time, based around their child’s treatment schedule.
Do I need to pay for my charity place?
Meredith’s Mission pays £480 to secure each charity place. You will not be asked to cover this cost separately, but you must commit to the minimum £2,500 fundraising target and meet the deadlines set out in your Runners’ Fundraising Agreement.
How much do I need to raise?
Each Meredith’s Mission charity-place runner commits to raising a minimum of £2,500, excluding Gift Aid.
We know this is a significant target, but you will not be left to manage it alone. We will provide guidance, ideas and practical support throughout your fundraising journey.
Which Fundraising Platform do I need to use?
Enthuse is the official online fundraising partner of London Marathon Events. Once you have completed your official event registration, an Enthuse fundraising page will be created for you.
We ask our runners to use this as their main fundraising page so that donations are recorded correctly and contribute to the official Team Meredith total.

Does Gift Aid count towards my fundraising total?
No. Your £2,500 commitment must be raised through donations, sponsorship and eligible fundraising income. Gift Aid is additional funding claimed by the charity and does not count towards your minimum target.
Do cash and offline donations count?
Yes. Cash donations, cheque payments and eligible bank transfers can count towards your target once they have been received and verified by Meredith’s Mission.
Please contact us before accepting larger offline donations so we can help you record and acknowledge them correctly.
Can matched funding from my employer count towards my target?
Yes, provided the matched funding is received by Meredith’s Mission within your fundraising deadline.
Many employers offer matched giving, so it is worth asking your workplace whether they can match some or all of the money you raise.
Can I approach local businesses for support?
Absolutely. Businesses may be willing to sponsor you, donate, offer matched funding, provide a raffle prize or help promote your fundraising.
We can provide information about Meredith’s Mission to support your approach. Please contact us before agreeing to anything involving our logo, a formal partnership or benefits offered in return for sponsorship.
Can I organise a raffle, collection or fundraising event?
YYes, but please speak to us before making arrangements. Raffles, lotteries, public collections and some events are subject to legal requirements, permissions or licensing.
We can help you decide what is appropriate and make sure your fundraising is carried out safely and responsibly.
Can I use the Meredith’s Mission name and logo?
We will provide approved logos, information and fundraising materials for you to use.

What happens if I am worried about reaching £2,500?
Please speak to us as early as possible. Fundraising can have quieter periods, and asking for help early gives us the best opportunity to support you with new ideas and a realistic plan.
Your £2,500 target is a condition of accepting a Meredith’s Mission charity place. The relevant deadlines and responsibilities are explained in your Runners’ Fundraising Agreement.
Can I use the Meredith’s Mission name and logo?
We will provide approved logos, information and fundraising materials for you to use.

Can I continue fundraising after the Marathon date ?
Yes. Many runners receive additional donations during and immediately after Marathon weekend.
Your final fundraising deadline will be confirmed in your Runners’ Fundraising Agreement. All outstanding cash and offline donations must also be paid to Meredith’s Mission by that date.
What happens to donations if I have to withdraw?
Donations are given to Meredith’s Mission to support our charitable work, rather than being a payment for completing the marathon, so they will normally remain with the charity.
Please contact us immediately if you think you may be unable to participate. Your charity place cannot be transferred to another person without agreement and the official registration requirements must always be followed.
