Ash was determined to make a difference, working off shore for weeks at a time away from his own daughter who is currently undergoing treatment for Leukaemia. He decided a daily 5km for 35 days should do it. The major difference ? The location was the helipad!
The challenge didn’t go without hiccups, with sweltering heat and on top of long shifts involving hundreds of steps and climbing as part of his role. Ash knows first hand the challenges families face after his daughter was diagnosed with ALL , a type of leukaemia and is still undergoing treatment . To be be able to make a difference whilst separated from his family helped Ash feel he could support in a meaningful way.
In total Ash raised £1145 for Meredith’s Mission and a real testament to his fundraising spirit!
